Plot Summary

Chu Li dreams of becoming an editor. When she graduated, she applied to her dream publishing company, Yuan Yue Publishing. Although she does not meet the requirements of a literature editor the company was looking for, she nonetheless assured them that she has the perseverance, earnestness, and enthusiasm that the physical publishing industry requires. She becomes a sincere and passionate editor who tries to help authors overcome their struggles and weaknesses and successfully publish their works.

Zhou Chan is a famous author known among his fans as “gentle and kind”. Unknown to them, Zhou Chan is the opposite of his public image. He dislikes being compared to his father who is also an author. When Yuan Yue Publishing, the same company that published his father’s most famous work, tries to contract him for his new book, he initially declines because he feels that the terms of the contract do not equate to his value as a writer.

Chu Li and Zhou Chan cross paths when Chu Li is assigned to contract him for his new book. Zhou Chan finds out that Chu Li is actually his online friend but hides this fact from her.  Zhou Chan finds himself stuck between not wanting to give in to the publishing company’s offer and trying to comfort and support his online friend who was having work issues (mostly caused by him LOL, unbeknownst to Chu Li).
