Drama Review 

The Hua family faces a devastating tragedy when they lose their noble status and assets, forcing the men into exile and leaving the women and children in peril. Hua Zhi, the family’s young lady, refuses to stay in the shadows any longer. She works tirelessly and bravely steps up to protect and provide for her household. 

As she navigates these challenges, Hua Zhi not only deals with her family dynamics but also finds love with Gu Yan Xi, who unbeknownst to her, was the fearsome commander of the Security Bureau. Through their heartwarming interactions, she finds comfort, support, and a shoulder to lean on. Hua Zhi evolves from a sheltered girl into a strong leader, paving the way for a brighter future for her family.

Initial Thoughts 

I’m loving this drama so far! 

Keep in mind that the story about the Hua family is stronger than the romance aspect between the two leads. I don’t mind it actually even if I initially watched the drama expecting for a good romance. LOL. The drama focuses a lot on the Hua’s family dynamics, exploring how they navigate, endure, and overcome the problems that come their way. I loved watching their growth as a family. They started off somewhat divided and only cared for their own survival, except for our FL, of course, who went through hoops and loops just to keep the family together, but ultimately came together as one to deal with hardships and celebrate their wins. 

I also liked how some of their problems were quickly resolved. I’m 10 episodes in and the drama feels like a light watch in general, but I do expect it to get a bit more complicated in the latter part. Not particularly because the plot is going that way, but just a general assumption for all dramas. Haha.
