Plot Summary & Review
“Good Morning Call” is a Japanese drama adapted from the popular manga of the same name. The story follows Nao Yoshikawa, a high school girl who unexpectedly finds herself living with her classmate, Uehara Hisashi, after they both unknowingly rent the same apartment.
As they deal with their unusual living arrangement, Nao and Uehara initially clash but slowly develop a deeper understanding of each other. The series explores their developing relationship, friendship, and various challenges they face, including high school life, family issues, and personal struggles.
The drama is a romantic comedy that captures the ups and downs of young love and the complexities of growing up. It has a lighthearted vibe, charming characters, and full of tropes. Not at all complicated storyline but sometimes gets a little cringey due to tropes. Luckily, I’m a sucker for this kind of genre so, I enjoyed this drama. This is a kind of drama that I can play and watch in the background while multitasking. If you’re also into these types of dramas, you can give this a go!
